Arcus - LGBTIQA+ Social Educational Program
Arcus will commence in Term 2 of 2025, and we are currently looking for expressions of interests from LGBTIQA+ young people aged 14 -18 years.
Arcus is a social educational program that will meet weekly throughout term 2. Sessions will have social activities including; team games, creative workshops and group excursions. Educational activities will encourage participants to explore their identity, develop both leadership and advocacy skills and increase awareness of relevant local services. Sessions will be presented by both Monash Youth Services Youth Workers and external facilitators.
In July 2024, Monash Youth Services launched the Arcus program, a social educational program for LGBTIQA+ young people aged 14-18 years.
This program was co-designed by Monash Young People aged 16-25 from the LGBTIQA+ community and Youth Services.

This program is supported by Engage a Victorian Government initiative that offers opportunities for young people to take the lead on projects, build new skills, achieve their goals and partake in community engagement.
*The name Arcus is derived from the word Rainbow which comes from the Latin ‘Arcus Pluvius’ meaning rainy arch.*
